Previously, customers had to manually track release times for hyped items and follow a standard checkout process, often disrupted by bots quickly buying up available stock. To improve this, we introduced a new system starting from the release calendar page.


Now, customers sign up for an invite, and the system evaluates their eligibility based on several factors including trust scores. This method eliminates the need for a shopping cart, reduces system exposure with fewer selectable features, enhances security, and uses asynchronous order confirmation to better manage purchases.

I used initial usability tests and desk research to identify potential points of confusion for users on the product details page. To address these proactively, I worked with the content design team to create targeted communication modules that provided clear, concise answers to common questions.

This project received a total of six million customer requests one month post launch. The resulting experience enhances genuine customers' perception of a secure and seamless checkout process. Customers can now enter a sale faster than ever, but with less rush and a fair chance to participate.
